A Microfinance Cooperative Linking Socially Conscious Lenders with Microfinance Entrepreneurs in the Developing World Envest is a loan fund which manages a unique mix of strategies to alleviate poverty and promote an earth-friendly economy. Driven by both social values and sound business practice, such strategies appeal to both ends of the spectrum—lenders and loan recipients. This approach offers socially and environmentally conscious individuals and institutions the opportunity to support microfinance entrepreneurs in developing countries. In the era of rapid globalization, microfinance works. Given the chance and the credit, even the poorest of the poor have demonstrated a great ability to build viable enterprises. With adequate business support, they can feed their families and build a better quality of life, even in very challenging conditions. Your support can allow more people to have access to the opportunities for health, education, and food that microfinance makes possible for families worldwide. What is Envest? ~ A mission-driven, membership cooperative pioneering new financial models to dramatically increase microcredit availability for entrepreneurs in the developing world ~ An innovative system of partnerships between community members, individual lendors, institutional lenders with grassroots international microfinance institutions ~ A socially and environmentally conscious investment opportunity for individuals and financial institutions seeking a way to reduce poverty and encourage environmental financial sustainability in developing-world economies |
